I wish people would actually look into the organisations they support, instead of who has the best ad campaigns and which poster would look better on their wall.

First pint of my 17th year on Friday. Started off the night meeting ‘Foreign exchange students’ thought to be French, later revealed to be English who were very unimpressed at our attempts of French communication who were introduced to us by a decidedly dodgy character called John who ‘Found them by Sainsburies’ and wanted to smoke a joint with us as he had to ‘get rid of all his drugs’. On arriving at the pub so many birthday drinks and so much karaoke occurred. Personal favourites being ‘There is a Light That Never Goes Out’ with Vida as it’s our song, ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ with Chris and of course ‘Stand by Me’ with Blair and Emily. The night ended with me running around in a lab coat; leaving the pub at last orders; Chris dropping me and my friends committing acts of petty theft and vandalism on the way to crash at Alice’s, including stealing a garden gnome, placing a doormat on the road and the vandalism of two for sale signs.
Shit post and shit picture but it was a great way to start being 17, marking the end of college and start of summer and I got to spend it with some of my favourite people and my best friend. So if Friday 15th of July 2011 is anything to go by, 17 is going to be an absolutely fantastic and hilarity filled year.
Bit soppy and long, but I love the people in my life, loads of whom weren’t there that night and as this is the last year I get with most of them and the last year of my childhood I’m gonna make the most of it.
In the words of a late, great whoever, peace out.
And I turn 17, most pointless age ever.
